Which tyres for my 2009 Ford Mondeo?

My three-year-old Mondeo Titanium is coming up for new tyres soon. It currently has factory-fitted Goodyear Excellence tyres, which I have found to be rather noisy. What can you recommend as alternatives?

These are low rolling resistance and should not be noisy until they are about two thirds worn. All comparatively wide, low profile tyres then become much noisier because more tyre comes into contact with the road. Michelin's new Primacy 3 should be the best, tested here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/parts-and-accessories/20.../
