Which Skoda Octavia should I go for?

I am about to dispose of a 2007 Octavia 2.0 TDI DSG. The toothed belt is known to cause problems and my current mileage is now down to about 7000 a year, so I am considering a new 1.4T petrol or a 1.8 petrol Octavia. I believe that they have a chain-driven camshaft. Do you have a preference for one of the two?

Both good engines. The 1.4TSI 122 is less powerful but more economical. Both have the benefit of a water cooled turbo which acts as a heat exchanger and helps the engine (and the car) heat up quickly in winter. Both engines are chain cam.
