Where can I report dangerous potholes for repair?

I damaged my car following an accident initiated by a deep pothole, which was not visible on a dark and rainy night. I applied to the local council for help with repairs. They declined. Their response was that they checked the roads on a regular basis for damage, this deep pothole was due to frost action and therefore they were not responsible as the road had been checked less than a week ago. You recently mentioned the website www.fixmystreet.co.uk to report issues with roads etc. Many thanks for this. I have used this site twice in the last couple of months to report deep potholes and they have been promptly repaired by the council. I would urge all motorist to use this site as it does work.

Absolutely. I have reported a few to www.fixmystreet.co.uk and been pleased to see the effect. Brilliant idea. I hope they get some decent commercial support because they deserve it. www.potholes.co.uk is a similar website.
