I have a 2011 Jaguar XF 3.0 Diesel S which came with bling 20" wheels and low profile tyres. Ideally, I would like to replace these with winter tyres fitted to a more appropriate wheel size. What would be the best wheel and tyre sizes to use and the most suitable brand of all weather tyre (capable of use in Germany and Austria)?

The very best winter tyres are Michelin Pilot Alpin 4s. I've driven them on a 400PS rear drive Porsche and a 500PS rear drive Mercedes on the snow in Latvia, with total control. Confirmed here: tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2012-Winter-Tyre-Buying-Guide.htm You can go down to 19” or 18” wheels. Better not down to 17”.
