Which large comfortable car should I buy?

At 82 I'm looking to replace my 2003 Honda Civic 1.6 Executive automatic for a larger comfortable car such as a Mercedes-Benz E300 or Lexus with low mileage and cost of £8000 - £12,000. My annual local mileage is just 1500 miles. What would you recommend and where would I find it?

A Lexus IS250 automatic, which is probably the most reliable car you can currently buy. Get a part-exchange from a Lexus dealer.

Nicely built and impressively reliable, the IS 250C is well equipped, decently refined and pretty practical with the roof up.
Distinctive, sharp looks. Excellent CDI diesels. Good motorway cruiser. Feels very well built.
