Is the Esso cinema ticket competition really free?

The Esso campaign: “Let Esso treat you to a night out at the movies” is anything but free, claiming this treat ticket is only online and you cannot opt out of the consent to “processing of my personal information for the purposes of this promotion.” My personal data protection is worth considerably more than a cinema ticket. ‘Treat’ in the Shorter Oxford Dictionary is an entertainment: one given without expense to the recipient. I have tried contacted Esso online but it is easier by far by far by far easier to contact you.
