Small cars: Can you help me with my shortlist?

I am looking to buy a new supermini. I have looked at the new Ford Fiesta with both the 1.0 petrol and 1.5 diesel units and they seem really efficient.

Which supermini do you recommend? Maybe a Mazda 2 or Honda Jazz; or even a Corsa. I really like the Fiesta but I would like to know which supermini you recommend the most.

The 1.5 diesel is horrible to drive. Noisy and lacking both power and torque. The 1.0 Ecoboosts are far better. Big discounts on Fiestas make them good buys.
