Should I pay for maintenance cover with a lease car?

After much deliberation and maths, I am in the process of starting a 3 year lease for a 2013 Ford Kuga.

I have just been asked by the leasing firm if I wanted to take out optional maintenance cover at £57 per month. This would cover all out-of-warranty repairs, including tyres, breaks and routine servicing etc.

In total this would come to £2052 over the course of the three year lease. Having never owned a new car I am unsure of the cost of servicing in the first three years, but £2052 seems a little extreme for a car still within it's warranty period. I calculated that this would almost be a full new set of tyres, brake disks and pads, and a full service every year.

Is it worth paying for this cover or should I cover the maintenance costs myself?

I think that's too much, too.
