What's your opinion on using 91 octane petrol when 95 octane is recommended?

My wife has recently acquired a three-year old Nissan Note Techna 1.6 Auto (2010) which recommends 95 Octane unleaded petrol.

Some garages only stock 91 and 97 Octane petrol. What is the downside with using 91 Octane? Should one use 97 instead or try to mix the 2?

I have never heard of 91 octane petrol in the UK. Only 95Ron, 97Ron, 98Ron and 99Ron.

You recommended Shell V-Power. I have no Shell garages near me only BP, Total & Esso. Do they do an equivalent high grade petrol?
