Mondeo steering won't self-centre

The steering wheel on my Mondeo doesn't self-centre. When put on full lock the wheel just stays on full lock. Any ideas?

It could be a number of things, have you hit any pot holes lately?
Also it may be the steering pump or the steering rack.
Best to get a good garage to take a look.
Obvious, but worth asking ,have you checked the tyre pressures lately?
