Ford Focus 1.6 petrol or 1.0 Ecoboost?

Enquiring yesterday at Ford Dealer about 1.6 Focus petrol and was told that I would be better of with the 1.0 Focus with Ecoboost. Can this be right?

That is the new, more modern engine, yes. Lower emissions. Lower tax. Same power.
