Warranty work

My 11 month old Ford Ranger has a broken CV joint. It was taken in to the nearest ford dealer (not the same one I bought it from). They have told me they cannot get the required parts until 20 February which will be over six weeks since the break down.

I have been offered a car or a transit as a replacement vehicle but i need a four-wheel drive as I use it for off road farm work every day. What are the Ford dealer and ford's obligations regarding the timescale of repair, and provision of replacement vehicle.

They don't have any obligations regarding the timescale. This is a superceded model and the Thai Alliance factory was flooded last year.
