Greedy Councils and Christmas Spirit

My daughter and her 16 month old son returned this evening to Cockfosters Tube Station to find her legally parked car had gone. She thought it had been stolen.

A kind local church goer saw her distress and told that her many cars had been towed away that day. My daughter then had to walk four miles at night in the cold rain carrying her baby as the child's push chair was stowed in the car. I made enquiries and learned that our caring Enfield Borough Council had towed her car away for having had a wheel on the kerb. The Council will charge this young mother a minimum of £255 to have the car returned.

Wonderful Christmas spirit and wonderful world we now live in. Merry Christmas Enfield Borough Council for the caring way you have exploited my daughter and all the other innocent individuals who went into London to celebrate the Christmas Season.

But obviously they did not know she had a baby. All they saw was an illegally parked car.
