Effect of Stop-Start Technology on turbos

You often tell people to let the engine run for a short time after stopping in order to let the turbo cool down. What is the efect of the automatic stop-start technology on engines with turbos, or is it too soon to say?

As far as I can gather it won't switch off if the turbo is too hot and also won't switch off it the ambient temperature is below 3 degrees.
