Paying for a written off car

I have just had a car accident and my car is a write off, what will happen with my finance as I do not have GAP insurance. Do I have to pay the outstanding balance or can I carry on paying it monthly - and do I need to tell the finance company?

Yes, you have to pay off what you owe one way or another.
