Hyundai i10 - would you buy ESP?

I am wanting to buy a new Hyundai i10 classic (1.2 litre) and need to decide whether to buy the ESP option. From what I have read, ESP is thought to prevent a lot of accidents, but I am not sure whether these are the sort of accident which would only happen to a fool taking corners too fast, or whether it will help avoid the sort of accident which might happen to a sensible driver taking things fairly safely.

The downside of ESP is that it is another complicated electronic thing to go wrong, that it requires disc brakes on the rear wheels and I am wondering if it makes the brakes 'grabbier' as a whole, and that as an option on the i10 it makes a delay in getting the car of 3 months.

But if it is a serious contribution to safety for a sensible driver then I guess I should get it

Waste of money and a potential source of problems. Little cars like the i10 simply don't need it.
