Buying an Octavia

I am considering buying a new Octavia Estate and wonder whether there have been any problems. Also please confirm that the 1.2 and 1.4 petrol engines have chain cams.

There has been continual development, but still better to avoid the diesels and go for the 1.2 TSI 105 or 1.4 TSI 122 or 1.8 TSI 160, all of which are chain cam.
