Which engine for new MX-5?

Most reviews of the new Mazda MX-5 praise and recommend the 1.5 engine, but the most recent review I have seen advises going for the 2.0 engine especially as this only costs an extra £850 including an uprated suspension and brakes, a torsion bar and a limited slip differential. Is this a no brainer or is the 1.5 still the better option for everyday motoring and a better ride?

The reason is that Mazda initially only released the 1.5 for testing and that gives the purest 'sportscar' experience. Mazda also wants to sell as many 1.5 v/s 2.0 for emissions/CO2 reasons. But, like the Toyota GT86, it lacks torque, so for everyday the 2.0 is more satisfying to drive.

Excellent handling makes it fun to drive. 1.5-litre model works very well on uneven UK roads. 2.0 as quick as many drivers would ever want. Well-equipped for the money.
