Has the recall work on my Accord been done?

I bought a Honda Accord (2000, 120k miles, 1.8 Vtec) about a year ago, and decided to have it serviced at the local Honda dealership. I have been having issues with the car not starting, and sometimes cutting out whilst going round tight bends at speed.

They identifed a faulty ignition switch as the cause. This model was subject to a recall for that part a few years ag, and when I asked, they said there was no out standing recall on this car, but offered no proof that the work was done. Do i have any kind of recompense to get them to replace a part that has failed, bearing in mind the recall, even if they have fitted it? It has been servied at Honda dealerships consistently through out its life.
