A diesel car for £7000

I currently have a 2003 Mondeo 115 TDCI. It's done 197,000 miles. The DMF went at 90,000 and is starting to fail again.

I'm concerned about buying another Ford Mondeo or any Ford TDCI because of DMF issues. Are newer 2007+ Mondeo's still prone to DMF failures? Would a Volvo S60 G5 2.4D be a better buy? Thanks for your time.
