Unused car

I have been given the chance to buy, from an elderly lady neighbour who is giving up driving, a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 115 Elite and I should like to know whether it would be a good buy, and, if so, what would be a fair offer to put to her. The details are as follows: Vauxhall Astra 1.6 115 Ecotec Elite, 5-door hatchback, first registered: 30-10-2007, mileage: 2,885. The car is in immaculate condition, has been regularly serviced and is always garaged when not in use. I myself have driven the car occasionally.

2,885 miles in 4 years is NOT a good thing and is NOT worth paying a significant premium for. It would normally trade at 43k miles at £4,275, and retail at £5,550. I think £5,000 would be a sensible price.
