Thanks to BMW for helping out with the steering repairs on my wife's Mini One.

My wife's MINI One suffered a serious steering problem, estimate for repair £1200. The car was well out of warranty and also out of goodwill warranty. Nonetheless, in view of the low mileage of 24,500, I wrote to BMW UK asking for a contribution. 36 hours later, when I went to collect the repaired car, I found that BMW had contacted the dealer and accepted the parts cost which equated to 75% of the estimate. BMW: high quality cars, high quality response.

That's excellent. I think I know who is responsible for this at BMW. He's doing a fine job.
