Should I pay extra for a DAB radio system in my new C-Class Mercedes-Benz?

I ordered a new C-Class Mercedes and one option strongly recommended by the salesman is DAB radio. I keep my cars for five years. Should I order DAB radio to avoid requiring a retro upgrade or impacting on residuals? £335 seems a lot just to have too many choices of station, some with weak signal, and be given the name of the song being played.

You will eventually need DAB, but Britain chose the wrong DAB system for cars and the consequence is that many DAB car radios constantly lose signal when on the move. By the time the old system is switched off Britain may well have a different DAB system.
