Where can my daughter-in-law sell her 1988 Porsche 911 Carerra for a good price?

My daughter-in-law needs to sell her Porsche 911 Carerra 3.2 1988. Without male support she doesn’t want to advertise in the local papers etc. with all the hassle that that could involve, yet she wants to obtain the best price. I have read your advice in the past for such a case but, not needing the information at that time, I didn’t take much notice. If you would point me in the right direction, I will pass on the information and help her as best as I can. The car is in excellent condition, present owner for 12 years and only the second owner, full service history, 118,000 miles.

There's no "easy way to get the best price". For minimum hassle and danger, no uninsured test drives, no potential for the car to later be stolen, no dodgy cheques or bank drafts, then the way to go is www.sure-sell.info, but the price she gets will depend on who is there on the day and the level of interest on that particular day. Otherwise, tote it round used Porsche specialists. Or try entering it in a classic and collectors auction, such as www.historics.co.uk or www.barons-auctions.com
