Would you recommend an ex-demo BMW X1 for its handling?

With a budget of about £25,000 what is the best handling medium sized car (with economy if possible)? I had been looking at ex-demo BMW X1 2.0 diesel manuals, though I prefer autos. I am biased against French cars and don’t think I could be seen in a Skoda.

Best handling? Without a doubt a RenaltSport Megane 250. But if you are considering a BMW X1 sDrive you must have a different definition of handling. Why go for a 2WD X1 rather than a 1 Series or a 3 Series?
