Could you recommend a comfortable motorhome or camper van for £5,000?

Now that my wife and I are retired, we are mulling over buying a campervan or motorhome. We think it would give us the freedom to decide to go away at short notice reasonably cheaply. We would only need a two-berth model, but it would need to be reasonably comfortable. Our budget would be up to £5,000 approx, but would like to spend less if possible. Obviously we would not be looking for a new model, so what pitfalls might there be and what should we look out for? As we know virtually nothing about them we would appreciate your advice, please.

Your budget restricts you to a very used converted Mazda Bongo, which will be the best you can get for the money. Links here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/mazda/bongo-1994/

Campers make ridiculously high money for old vans with beds in.
