Where can I sell my late brother's BMW 530D and Ford Fiesta for the best price?
I have been appointed the executor for my late brother's will. I want you to give me a fair price for the disposal of his two cars. Unfortunately the family can’t agree on the prices, but all are willing to accept your price. The first car is a late 2003, new shape BMW 530D, with new BMW dealer-fitted engine, 40,000 miles in immaculate condition. The new engine was fitted by BMW because the swirl flaps broke up, but the car is now fitted with an updated engine. The second car is a 2006 Ford Fiesta Zetec,1.2 engine five door car in black, a/c, etc. Both cars have FSH.

You can avoid any argument by putting them through a private owner auction (www.sure-sell.info) where they will make a fair price on the day after competitive bidding by private and trade buyers. BCA will advise you what to reserve them at. This avoids all the agonies of a private sale such as midnight phone calls, canvassers, undesirables on the doorstep, scams, illegal test drives, dodgy bank drafts, the lot. Also avoids any arguments about values with the relatives. The 530dSE auto should fetch about £6,000 - £6,500 and the Fiesta about £3,500.
