Which tyres could I fit to my 2009 Peugeot 308 which offer quieter running than the Continentals it currently has?

I recently purchased a 2009 Peugeot 308 Verve 1.4 fitted with Continental tyres. Could you please tell me if anybody as done any research that would indicate that a different make of tyre would run quieter?

In my experience, Michelin Energy Saver or, for lower profiles, Michelin Pilot Primacy HP are quietest above 8 degrees centigrade. But these are comparatively hard compound low rolling resistance tyres so at winter temperatures lower than 8 degrees and particularly at temperatures around freezing, the tyres will be relatively noisy.
