Why would I want to turn off my Nissan Note's ESP?

My new Nissan Note has an ESP on/off switch. Why would I wish to turn off this (I believe) valuable safety feature?

Because on snow or ice it could kill you. Take your car on a skidpan and see how it behaves with ESP on and ESP off. Otherwise leave it on, especially in rainy conditions when it's at its most effective.
