Sister bought car - found to be damaged - what recourse?

My sister has just bought a second hand MX5 from a main Mazda dealer (about 1 week ago). She has discovered that the bonnet and windscreen have small pock marks that are really only discoverable by touch (the bonnet especially).

When she took it back to the garage they rather reluctantly said that they might pay half towards the respray etc.

Does she have a better claim against them to repair a relatively new car to a reasonable standard at their cost?

It's called 'paint inclusion' due to a previous poor quality respray. It's not really critical so I don't think she has any right to claim more than has been offered.
