Used large family car

Want to buy a used family car which can accommodate 3 children and have enough boot space to store their belongings.

Need a reliable car which will not get stuck in snow.

Please advise out of the sliding door fitted cars which are recommended and out of the non sliding doors which is recommended?

Not after automatic so Chrysler Voyager ruled out. Also, I'm not very good with big cars such as Ford Galaxy or new VW Sharan. I'm petite!

I rate the current Mazda 5 1.6D TS2 very highly and am running one for a year. But I can't tell you what it will be like in snow without winter tyres.
