Buying a used A5 quattro

I'm buying an A5 3.0 Quattro Sport. I guess I'm looking towards the higher end of the options range (DVD nav, B&O stereo, AMI), not concerned either way by leather/alloy upgrades.

My budget is £18,500 inc. £500 part ex for my old Fiesta. From recent research and viewings, this should get me an 08 model from a specialist, recently serviced and MOT'd, around 65k on the clock. However - I notice the price can be £2.5k / £4k (dealer / private) cheaper for models with 90k-110k on the clock.

How much importance should I place on mileage? I assume the diesel engine will more or less run for ever, but on a 3 yr old vehicle with this much mileage, on balance - assuming car is still recently serviced and MOT'd - is this a bargain or false economy in terms of maintenance and depreciation?

I'm not keen on high mileage Audi quattros. I wouldn't try to cut my costs that way.
