Should I charge my EV to 100% or stick at 80%?
I have a 4 year old Hyundai Ioniq 5 and I have read conflicting advice about how high to charge the batteries.Currently I have a max of 80%. I read that charging to 100% degrades the batteries, others say Hyundai recommend charging to 100% once a month. What is best please?

Generally speaking it is recommended to charge EV batteries to 80% and only beyond this when the extra range is absolutely necessary. With specific models we would always recommend deferring to the manufacturer's recommendations. The Ioniq 5's owners manual does recommend charging to 100% once a month or more, so we would follow this advice while ensuring that the rest of your charging is to 80%.
