Is the placement of the indicators on new Hyundai cars flawed?

Can I ask your opinion please on the indicators of the latest Hyundai cars? It seems to me that there is a serious design flaw on these new cars. The indicators are set right at the bottom of the rear bumper, in some cases about half wheel size from the ground. This strikes me as a serious safety flaw as the car two behind them has no chance to see the signal and the car directly behind, if to close in traffic, for example, would also not see the intended turning operation.

We agree that placing the indicators so low on the vehicle is disadvantageous, preventing drivers more than one vehicle behind from having a clear line of sight. However, it could be argued that the vehicle behind is most in need of this information, whereas brake lights are more important to following vehicles further back in a line of traffic.
