What's the best way to sell my car?

I have a 7 year old Mazda CX-5 that I want to sell. What’s the best way to do that avoiding a dealer trade in?

Typically selling a car privately will achieve the best possible price, but with this comes the need to advertise the car, deal with responses from potential buyers and handling the transaction. Selling via a car buying website such as Motorway.co.uk is a much easier process, but will usually result in a lower value than selling privately. We'd suggest finding the estimated value you can expect from Motorway and then seeing how much similar cars to yours are selling for via private sellers to weigh up whether it's worth going down the private sales route.
