Why has Hyundai removed the 48v battery from the Bayon?

Has the new Hyundai Bayon (2025) had the 48v battery removed due to problems with it?

Hyundai has not directly communicated why it has dropped mild hybrid technology on some models, but given the modest improvements to efficiency mild hybrids offer in comparison with full hybrids and electric vehicles it may well be a cost saving, particularly on smaller cars where margins are tighter. And we're are not aware of any specific problems with the mild hybrid system on these vehicles.
