Do I have to start paying tax on my previously tax exempt car?
I bought my Dacia Logan in 2013 and it was tax exempt. Do I have to start paying tax in 2025?

Cars first registered between 1st March 2001 and 31st March 2017 are still taxed according to their CO2 emissions, although the rates for 2025/2026 have increased slightly. For cars with official CO2 emissions of 110g/km or under, the rate is £20 per year. You can read more about this in our guide here - www.honestjohn.co.uk/car-tax
