Is a solar trickle charger good for a hybrid?
During the summer months, both my wife's car (2025 - Suzuki Swift Hybrid) and my vehicle (2021 - Toyota RAV4 Hybrid) will be unused for approximately 3+ weeks, due to an impending holiday. Both vehicles have low mileage. Is it advisable to use a solar trickle charger ( or both vehicles) to keep the batteries charged or ask a friendly neighbour to start both vehicles during this period?

A solar trickle charger is a good way of keeping your car's battery in good health when you are away from home. We would suggest looking at chargers from PV Logic or Topsolar, or you could try an accessory store such as Halfords which has several different offerings. You could ask your neighbour to help, but ideally the cars would be driven rather than just started, so you may prefer to choose the solar charger option.
