Buying a car

I just bought a car from an auction, it was sold with not warranted mileage as 82K, after two day i discovered from VOSA website that on last MOT mileage was 242K, i contacted the auction and wanted to return the car, the auction said they have contacted the seller who is a private seller, he says that he is not aware of it, he bought the car in Nov 2010, and mileage at that time was 72K. Therefore they dont know anything about it they have purshase this car from a private person and they will not give refund.

My question is can i dispute this transaction with them directly or through legal procedure aur through police that they have sold the car with incorrect mileage, by just saying not warranted knowingly unless or otherwise proved wrong. Because what i know is selling a car with mileage issue like this is a crime. I have paid the price of 82K miles car and not the 242K car, i cant sleep at night.

No. You bought a car without warranty and with a mileage that was stated not to be warranted. Those were the terms on which you bought the car. Had the car been sold 'with warranty' then you would have had a case. As it is, you don't.
