Loud Skoda Octavia tyres

Do you know whether a "service bulletin" regarding suspension geometry has been sent to Skoda dealers? I have owned a new Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSI Estate auto for a year and the road noise is really bad.

It is spoiling an otherwise excellent car. My wife is reluctant to travel in it.

I reported the problem to the dealers within a few days of taking delivery but was informed that the car had directional tyres that would bed in. The car does not have directional tyres and they have not bedded in.

I have not complained further but a friend in the village has just bought the same car. He has complained of the noise and is having the suspension geometry checked. A mechanic at the Skoda garage mentioned the service bulletin.

Might simply be the profile of the tyres and the make of the tyres. Any tyres with a profile of 50 or less can be noisy.
