DPF additives

I have a Skoda Yeti 2.0 Diesel with DSG. 5,000 miles a year, 40% of my journeys less than 5miles. Would a fuel additive reduce the chance of clogging and, if so, how often should I use it?

There is an additive but I can't tell you how well it works and how it may affect the manufacturer warranty. Best thing to do is to regularly drive the car further, keeping it in lower gears to maintain an engine speed of over 2,000rpm. Of course, it will use more fuel.
