Should a warranty use used or refurbished parts?

Is it ok for a warranty company to use second hand or refurbished parts?

The terms and conditions of your warranty should stipulate if used or refurbished parts will be used for repairs. There is nothing inherently wrong with using these parts for repairs as long as they are of sufficient quality, but a refurbished part should be of better quality than a used one as it should have been inspected and any worn parts replaced, while a used part could be of indeterminate quality and condition.
