Replacing an A-Class

We have a 2010 A-Class that is very uncomfortable on our country roads. Is there an alternative small car? Or have I got to move up to a medium size to get more comfort? Maybe a Focus/ C-MAX or a Mazda 3?

Which wheels and tyres does it have? A Class go down to 15" wheels wit 65 profile tyres and if it has something daft like 18" wheels, that is the reason for your discomfort.
