Can I claim for transporting a faulty car back to the dealer?

I recently bought a second hand car. It developed a fault after a few days and my garage says it is unroadworthy. The dealer is refusing to refund so I am making a small claim. Should I claim the cost of returning the vehicle to the dealer (it is with my local garage at the moment) and costs I have received online are approx £500 to transport it. Or is it the dealers responsibility to pick up the car from me?

When making a claim through the small claims court we would suggest claiming for any expense that would not otherwise have occurred if the car had not been faulty, so in this case you should claim for the cost of transporting the vehicle and let the court decide whether or not the claim is valid.
