Is a parking ticket enforcable if the yellow lines are broken and not clearly identifiable?

My wife has come home with a yellow line parking ticket and has shown me images of a very badly maintained/broken up double line only part identifiable for some distance away and with no end bar. Would the ticket be enforceable?

We would suggest you appeal this parking ticket on the grounds that the road markings are insufficient, including as many photos as you can of the scene. Ultimately it may be successful, but it is always worth a try.
