I bought a car that turned out to have an incomplete service history - what should I do?

I recently bought a two and a half year old car which was advertised as having the remainder of the manufacturer warranty. I now see that the service history is incomplete, which as far as I'm concerned means that the car is not as described since any manufacturer will stipulate that the service schedule must be followed to preserve the warranty. Of course I should have asked about the service history, but I forgot. I realise that you can't offer legal advice, but would you agree that the car is not as described, and that its value is less as a result of the incomplete service history?

Unless the car has covered a very high mileage, we wouldn't expect it to have more than two or three services being less than three years old, so it depends how incomplete it is. However, if it has missed a service and was described as having a full service history then we would agree that it is not 'as described', and this will have an impact on its value. If you bought the car from a dealer then we would raise this with them.
