Are low profile tyres more susceptible to punctures?

I bought an Audi A5 quattro and had a nail in a rear tyre about four months ago causing a puncture, then a screw in the other rear tyre a month ago and another screw in that same tyre two days ago.

They are 19-inch wheels - are they prone to picking up screws etc? The car feels very rough over certain road. I'm assuming they are low profile.

Unfortunately lower-profile tyres can be more susceptible to punctures, partly because a wider tyre means there is physically more tyre in contact with the road, although it does sound as if you have been quite unlucky.

Other than fitting smaller wheels and tyres, the only thing you can do is ensure your tyres are set to the correct pressure, as an over-inflated tyre can be easier to puncture.
