Are parts for an Aygo diesel expensive?

I have about £5000 to spend on a new car. I was originally looking at a Ford Fiesta 1.4 diesel, but have recently become interested in the Toyota Aygo 1.4 Diesel. However, someone recently suggested to me that Toyotas can be very expensive to repair due to the cost of their parts. Something that first attracted me to Ford is their reliability and low cost of parts. Is this correct, or are Toyotas in fact not too costly to repair?

The diesel has a Citroen engine, and the whole car is built on the same production line as the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107. There are no real differences. The petrol engine actually makes most sense.
