I'm thinking of buying a used Ford Fusion, is this a good choice?

Hi. I want to buy a good automatic hatchback car for my regular commute to work (driving mainly on the highways and occasional trips to the supermarket and to visit to other European countries). Budget is under £5,000.

I've found a 2009 Ford Fusion with 42,500 miles, will this be a good purchase at present since I have heard that Ford discontinued the Fusion in 2022.

Ford produced the Fusion from 2002 to 2012, so this model has been discontinued for some time. However, there is no reason to avoid purchasing one because it has been off sale for some time, as manufacturers frequently replace and update their model ranges.

If you have decided that a Fusion is the car for you then this seems like a good example as it has quite low mileage for its age. However condition and service history are equally important, and we would suggest buying a car with a comprehensive service history whenever possible.
