Can I fit run-flat tyres to my Skoda Kamiq?

I am buying a Skoda Kamiq 1.5 TSI SE, which comes with a tyre repair kit, which I would not be happy with. If I fit run flat tyres, will it need different pressure sensors and what size tyre should be fitted?

It is generally advised not to fit run-flat tyres to a car that has not been designed to run them. Tyre fitters will tell you this. Firstly, the wheels have to be designed to work with the run-flats, if it hasn't been it won't work correctly. Secondly, run-flats have much stiffer sidewalls that can drastically alter the handling, ride and braking of a car if it hasn't been set up to use them. We would recommend purchasing a spare wheel instead (Skoda sells a genuine spare wheel kit for the Kamiq).
